OXNARD COLLEGE SEEKS ARTISTS, VENDORS FOR OCTOBER 14, 2009 “MULTICULTURAL ARTS DAY”
The fourth annual “Oxnard College Multicultural Arts Day” to be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, will feature multi-cultural music and dance performances, lectures on art, literature and cultural customs plus an exotic array of traditional foods that reflects the rich diversity of the Oxnard community.
Organizers for the event are seeking artists, lecturers and vendors from the community, which will take place on the Oxnard College campus with an anticipated crowd of 700 high school students and teachers expected to be on campus for the morning of the event, from 9 a.m. to about 2 p.m. Oxnard College is located at 4000 S. Rose Avenue, Oxnard.
While numerous Oxnard College faculty and staff are expected to participate in the event, those in the community who would like to present lectures, demonstrations, performances, film presentations or host classroom or panel discussions are invited to call Multicultural Day organizers at (805) 986-5839 and (805) 986-5808.

Participants need to provide contact information, the title or description of their presentation by Tuesday, September 8, 2009. |
