| Photography alumnus Dan Winters will present a talk on his life’s work on September 25th at 7:30 pm in the Forum. He is appearing at Professor John Gray’s invitation in conjunction with the publishing of his book Periodical Photographs, just released by the Aperture Foundation. His book displays portraits of some of Hollywood's most photographed including Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, Denzel Washington, and music superstars Bono, Eminem and Willie Nelson.
Winters work is currently showing at the Fahey/Kline gallery in Los Angeles through September 5th. Winters studied at Moorpark under Gray in the early 1980s. He is world renowned as an editorial photographer and shoots regularly for Esquire, GQ, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, The New Yorker, and The New York Times Magazine. He is the recipient of more than 100 awards, including the Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Magazine Photography and a World Press Photo Award.
