H1N1 Flu Information

Ventura County Community College District is not experiencing any H1N1 flu emergencies at this time.  All campuses are open and operating.  We are closely monitoring the situation and prepared to take appropriate action should it become necessary.

If you are sick, please avoid contact with others by staying home and avoiding travel for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone, except to seek medical care or unavoidable necessities.  (Your fever should be gone without the use of fever-reducing medicine.)  If you leave your home to seek medical care, wear a face mask and cover your coughs and sneezes using tissues.  Again, avoid contact with other people as much as possible to keep from spreading your illness.  With seasonal flu, people can be contagious from one day prior to developing symptoms up to seven days after becoming ill.  People infected with H1N1 are likely to have similar patterns of infectiousness as with the seasonal flu.
